Our Building Process

Custom designed by qualified builders.

Nine steps to building in paradise, made easy

A great example of the team at Vanuatu Homes working our magic can be seen with this Teouma Bay example of a Moonlighter design. It’s yet another example of Vanuatu Homes working its magic with custom designs brought to reality by qualified builders working on fixed price contracts.

  1. Initial set-out
  2. Foundation Ready for bearers and joists
  3. Floor down / assembling the trusses
  4. Standing the walls
  5. Adding more walls
  6. Wrapping with tar/ bitumen paper to waterproof walls
  7. Trusses and Battens added to wall and roof
  8. Exterior Trim/Finishing
  9. Presto.

The Payment Process

Vanuatu Homes’ payment structure is typically laid out in this order

  1. Materials payment, in NZ dollars, direct to NZ account upon signing of contract (all other payments in vatu to Vanuatu Homes)
  2. Deposit upon initiation of earthworks
  3. Progress payment upon floor being down
  4. Progress payments upon reaching lockup stage (this is when walls are in place, roof is on and exterior doors and windows are in place)
  5. Final payment upon completion of interior finishing and finalization of any outstanding items.
  6. Any and ALL charges that are included in the sales contract as variations and/or PC Sum (Provisional Cost overages) are due at the time of the incurrence of associated costs by Vanuatu Homes

Testimonials

“We feel very thankful we built a Vanua Disaen home. Cyclone Pam tested our home big time and it survived. The quick build and efficiency shown during construction was hassle-free, with us living in Australia dreaming of our retirement in Vanuatu. Congrats.”

Testimonials

“Amazed is an understatement. Exceptionally happy there was no structural damage at all, only superficial/cosmetic damage. The sea surge and debris thrown up at the villas did not break the cyclone rated ‘Stormshield’ glass ranchsliders facing the sea, another great product that was well tested through the cyclone. Congrats to the team from Vanua Disaen for a very well built resort on the beach. A true testament to their design and building ability.”
