Our safe homes are built to last using thoroughly refined specifications.

Vanuatu Homes meet all local building legislation requirements including resource consents and building permits, as well as the safe building methods and styles of Australia and New Zealand.

Standard Specifications

Foundations/Sub-floor:

  • Construction on flat ground (significantly sloped sites will incur additional costs)
  • Port Vila Area (remote sites will incur additional costs)
  • Floor level to be 600 mm above ground
  • Standard Piles (where suitable) are H5 treated 125mm x 125mm square x 1200mm long with 400mm D12 through base and 6 KN Galvanized fixings to bearers.
  • Anchor Piles are H5 treated 125mm x 125mm square x 1200mm long with 400mm D12 through base and 12KN Galvanized fixings to bearers.
  • Bearers and floor joists and blocking are 150mm x 50mm radiata No1 and H3 treated
  • Base boards are rough sawn 100mm x 25mm and H3 treated.

  • Decking is 90mm x 30mm radiate pine, H3 treated, grip tread. Optional 140 x 32 if wider board preferred
